Past Zone President & Zone Advisor | Sweta Somani

SWETA SOMANI  is a lady who believes in best by giving her best. Her charm and dedication given her valuable contribution in the creation and development of the Zone  XXV . She was born in Allahabad to late Shri Gopal Agarwal and Smt Vidya Agarwal. She is married to JC Sweta Somani.

JC Sweta Somani  is a Commerce graduate from Gauhati Commerce College. She has completed her MBA from AIIMA  ,a certified interior designer, diploma in child psychology from London college of teachers and certified graphologists by institute of Graphology Kolkata.

Contribution to the JCI movement

JC Sweta  Somani joined in the year 2014 as the charter Treasurer of JCI Guwahati. She became the President of JCI Guwahati in the year 2016. Under her leadership JCI Guwahati  reached to its greatest heights,  creating bench mark for many other chapters in JCI India. 

In the year 2017, she was elected as Zone President of Zone XXV. Under her stewardship the Zone was declared permanent with increase in 10 more chapters under the region.

In the year 2018 her hard work and dedication led her to become the first lady Zone President of Permanent Zone xxv and presently she is working really very hard to make our Zone the “BEST” in JCI India.In 2019 n 2020 She is given the responsibility of NOM Coordinator in JCI India 

 

Achievements

In 2016 she bagged  Outstanding President (winner), Outstanding LOM (Winner) , Outstanding LOM in GND area,  Outstanding National flagship program, Outstanding PR project, etc in ZONECON . For the first time Zone xxv was awarded the trophy of Outstanding Clean India drive (LOM Winner) in the National and also outstanding National flagship Project (runner s up).Appreciations from National President,various other organisations etc.

She has attended 4 Zonecon, 4 Natcon, 2 OTS training and has successfully graduated in premier training program NALANDA of JCI INDIA in 2015.

 

Contribution to the society

She is always keen to work for the society. For the first time in north east a sanitary napkin disposal machine was installed in various schools, colleges, women police station, Gauhati University colleges hostel free cost to assure utmost hygiene n health for girl students . More than 50 machines  were installed and moe than 1 lakh girl students were benefitted and can study in those critical days for which she was recognised by former chief minister of Assam Shri Tarun Gogoi on women’s day . She also undertook the responsibilities of various govt schools by adopting them n maintaining them. Under her leadership various toilets were also constructed for girl child in government schools. She has undertaken the project Anudaan under which old age homes are provided with one year food items She also undertook a project called Ek Roti Ek Muskaan under every month downtrodden people get food ,more than 50000 people were benefitted. She has been associated with many social and leadership development association Lions club of Umang, Chetna ladies club, Marwari Mahila Samiti, Maheshwari Mahila samiti etc.

She is happily married to Gauravv Somani and is blessed with two kids twins Karan and Keshav.
